The three-tower Marina Bay Sands resort — connected at the top by a ship-shaped SkyPark — has redefined Singapore's skyline. Non-hotel guests can purchase tickets to the SkyPark Observation Deck for panoramic views of the city, Sentosa Island, and Indonesia on a clear day. Singapore's MRT (metro) is efficient, air-conditioned, and covers all major attractions. An EZ-Link card (available at Changi Airport) works on MRT, buses, and some shops. Far cheaper than taxis for getting around the city.

Singapore's equatorial climate means 30–33°C year-round with high humidity. Wear light cotton clothing, carry a small umbrella for unexpected rain showers, use sunscreen, and stay hydrated with Singapore's famous fresh sugarcane juice.
