Kedarnath Tour Package — A Sacred Journey to Shiva's Abode
Kedarnath, situated at an altitude of 3,583 metres in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Hinduism and one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The ancient Kedarnath Temple, believed to have been built by the Pandavas and later reconstructed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century, stands against the magnificent backdrop of the Kedarnath Peak and the Chorabari Glacier — making it one of the most spiritually powerful and visually breathtaking destinations in all of India.
Luxytrix Travel offers the most comprehensive and comfortable Kedarnath tour packages 2026, designed with the safety and well-being of pilgrims as the highest priority. Whether you are a devout pilgrim from Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, or Bangalore, or an adventure trekker seeking to experience the raw Himalayan wilderness, our Kedarnath packages deliver a transformative experience at every budget level.
The Sacred Kedarnath Temple
The Kedarnath Temple is one of the most powerful Jyotirlinga shrines and a key site of the Char Dham Yatra. The temple opens in May (on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya) and closes in November (on Diwali/Bhai Dooj) when the deity is taken in procession to Ukhimath for the winter months. The 16 km trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath passes through rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, and glacial moraines — a physically demanding but spiritually exhilarating journey. Helicopter services are available for those unable to trek, and Luxytrix arranges both trek-based and helicopter-based Kedarnath packages.
Badrinath — The Vishnu Shrine
Combining Kedarnath with Badrinath — the Vishnu counterpart in the Char Dham circuit — is strongly recommended and Luxytrix's most popular Kedarnath extension. Badrinath Temple, at 3,133 metres in the Chamoli district, sits between the Nar and Narayana mountain ranges with the sacred Alaknanda River flowing in front. The Tapt Kund (hot spring) outside the temple, the Brahmakapal (ancestral rites site), and the Vasudhara Falls (3 km from Mana village) are additional sacred experiences in the Badrinath region.
Chopta and Tungnath — The Highest Shiva Temple
Chopta, the "mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand," is a beautiful meadow at 2,680 metres, serving as the base for the Tungnath Temple trek. Tungnath, at 3,680 metres, is the highest Shiva temple in the world and one of the Panch Kedar temples. The 3.5 km trek from Chopta to Tungnath passes through oak and rhododendron forests before opening up to panoramic views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedarnath Peak, and Chaukhamba. Continuing 500 metres further to Chandrashila Summit (4,130 m) offers a 360-degree Himalayan panorama. Chopta also serves as the base for the Deoria Tal lake — a magical alpine lake reflecting the Chaukhamba peaks.
Vasuki Tal Trek — A Hidden Himalayan Gem
The Vasuki Tal trek (8 km one-way from Kedarnath) leads to a pristine high-altitude glacial lake at 4,135 metres, reflecting the Kedarnath and Satopanth peaks. The trail passes through some of the most remote and pristine terrain in Uttarakhand — past boulders, glacial streams, and alpine wildflowers. Vasuki Tal is best visited in June-July when the snow has cleared enough for safe trekking. This extended trek is available as an add-on to our Kedarnath packages for adventure seekers from Delhi, Noida, Bangalore, and Mumbai.
